I wish I had the Marine's name. He was a fellow photographer at FLC. We were getting ready to fly over the damage caused by the Marine and Air Force ammo dumps going up in flames. See story. My fellow photographer did all the photography this day. I was along to assist. He had never done any air-to-ground photography and also had never used a 4x5 Speed Graphic. I had done both, many times. He was a good student. And he had an excellant teacher. I spend the time taking color slides for myself. The Marines wouldn't accept 35mm work for any investigative projects. Only 4x5. That's why the big camera. We first flew over the damaged areas then spent another day on the ground.
