| I wish I had the Marine's name.
He was a fellow photographer at FLC. We were getting ready to fly
over the damage caused by the Marine and Air Force ammo dumps going
up in flames. See story. |
My fellow photographer did all
the photography this day. I was along to assist. He had never done
any air-to-ground photography and also had never used a 4x5 Speed
Graphic. I had done both, many times. He was a good student. And
he had an excellant teacher. I spend the time taking color slides
for myself. The Marines wouldn't accept 35mm work for any investigative
projects. Only 4x5. That's why the big camera. |
We first flew over the damaged
areas then spent another day on the ground. Both of us recieved
Letters of Appreciation for our work. The only one I ever got.
