Children's Hospital Brochure

Just prior to leaving Vietnam I was told (Marines are never asked they're told.) to go over to the Children's Hospital and take a bunch of photographs. They didn't care what I photograph they just wanted photographs. So I went over there and photographed the kids and the doctors.

This wasn't the first time I had been at the hospital with my camera and I have many other photographs from the hospital.

Turns out they needed a photograph for the brochure they would be doing for the cermony welcoming the World Relief Commission (WRC.) The WRC would eventually take over complete responsibility of the hospital.

I was sent a copy of the brochure by the new NCOIC of the photo-lab. He arrived at FLC the week before I left. Thanks Gunny.

The cermony was on 7 June 1969. I was discharged from the Marines on 6 June 1969.

For more photos from the hospital and information on what happen to the hospital after the fall of South Vietnam in '75 go here.

For a short history of FLC travel over to this site.
