My Church Comes First!

I had been out to the large refugee camp, really a shanty-town, to get a photo of the Navy Corpsmen working at the local health center. This health center was part of the Marine's Civic Action program. That picture is over here.

After I had the photos I went walking around the camp and came upon this Catholic Priest and his 'Under Construction' church.

Apparently this guy was upset that we weren't helping HIM get his church completed. He didn't care about the camp's health concerns. Just getting his church done.

In 1975 when South Vietnam fell I thought about two things. This priest was one of them. I really hoped that his church had been leveled.
