Another
Vietnam Story: In June of '69 I was back from
5 months in Vietnam and discharged from the Marines.
Honorable. I wasn't caught enough times for anything
less. No Good Conduct ribbon though.
My dad and I were talking about
Vietnam and he said that Brian, my youngest brother,
was going to Canada if he was drafted and what did
I think of this?
I said "Great. I'll pay
his airfare to Canada."
Dad never said anything about
Vietnam after that.
Fortunately Brian didn't get
drafted and I used the money for other useless pursuits.
And so begins
my story.
