It wasn’t until I saw the image in Lightroom that I realized I might be copying the photographer William Eggleston. You remember his tricycle in the street? The title was Big Wheels I think. Anyway that’s what come to me when I saw the photo. I was trying to get the fruit tree, the chair, the palms, and a portion of the blue sky all in the picture.

The chair was where it was because the owner’s two dogs had dug a nice hole in the ground. The owners placed the chair over the hole. Just thought you should know.

   John, I just discovered your “photoessayist.com” blog and wanted to say hello! I’ve only back-read a half a years’ worth (will have to return for the rest) and I wanted to write that I find it to be very enjoyable.

   You have excellent observation ability, probably from being a professional photographer for many years. I also find your humor to be funny and appropriate for each scenario.

   I like that your format of this blog is in keeping with a balance of photography related information as well as with human and general interests. You don’t have to be even into photography to enjoy this site.

   You also do great job with Laguna Beat with daily updates. I look forward each day to seeing your latest daily update.
