Big Crowds This Year At The Festival Of Books

Photoessayist: Big Crowds This YearCrowd size was a big improvement over last year. Also the layout of the various venues was improved. Especially the placement of the Food Court. It was moved to the athletic field with the Food Trucks parked just outside the field. Cooler temps was also a welcomed surprise. Sunday was probably the coolest day of the Festival since I started going in 2007.

Although I miss UCLA the compactness of the entire Festival made it easier to get to panels. I didn’t try to see everything on the kids side of the Festival but I did get to visit all the merchants I was interested in.

And what was it with all the Cars.com bags. Couldn’t they have something that said “Festival”?
